I regret to inform you of the passing of our "Great"  Paul Robeson singer, Gordon Brown, an Artist-In- Resident at the Paul Robeson House. In my opinion, when he sang, he embodied Uncle Paul.

I was proud to have him sing at our events and to represent his voice for Paul Robeson. At my sister's funeral a few years ago, Gordon asked me if he could sing. Out in the pouring rain at the cemetery his thunderous voice was clear and everyone stood there in the rain listening. No one moved!

We often talked regularly. He wanted to sing at the House as soon as the COVID restrictions allowed us to open.

As some of you may remember, I had him sing for Fran Aulston 's funeral. Hereceived a standing ovation. Gordon had appeared on stage at the Academy of Music and other venues throughout the city over the years.

His passing breaks my heart as many of you can imagine because I felt his voice was Wonderful, reminding me of Uncle Paul.

God rest his soul. He truly will be missed.
